Professional photographers in the 21st century photography
In 2022
anyone can take photos with their telephone. Only hire a professional
photogapher who can take photos you would have no idea how to take. To take
photos how anyone can take with a phone or their own camera, but just a little
more focused, better save your money and get free photos you do yourself.
To exist in 2022 all professional photographers should realise this or they
will go extenict, if they haven't done already. It's not enough just to go
somewhere with a big camera and a big lens. That alone will not produce a high-quality
individual style artistic professional photograph that is noticeably different
to anyone's phone photos. It's a bit more complicated than that and needs a lot
more kits than that to really pull off a shoot that stands out.
Remember my words 10 years from now. Particularly pro photographers take heed.
We pros all need to up out game or we will be obsolete. Just being called a pro
and having a pro camera doesn’t take a pro photo for us.
Just putting a monochrome filter on a colour photo doesn't make black and white
photography.
Using a wide angle lens to get more in or a telephoto lens to get close isn't
the full picture. It's not as simple as that.
Putting a front on flash al the time is just not good enough. Terry Richardson
already has it perfectly down.
Just buying lots of old film cameras and films does not magically make anyone
an artist.
Just owing a Macintosh personal computer does not make photos any visibly
better.
People write to me every day showing me photos someone has done with a
telephone with prebeginner lighting and telling me they want me to take the
same photos of them. That's great but I decline. I have no interest in taking
photos with flat lighting for any amount of money.
